In August 1966, Beatles manager Brian Epstein was interviewed by ITN's Richard Lindley. Speaking after John Lennon caused enormous controversy in the United States by claiming that the public were more infatuated with the Beatles than with Jesus, Lindley asked Epstein how he felt about the band speaking their mind. Epstein's answer revealed something of his management style and the decision-making dynamic in the world's most famous rock band.
