As you know I love nature, natural approaches in everyday life, also love to grow my own foods. It is not an easy job though especially when you do without insecticide, pesticide, chemical fertilizer. That is the reason I only succeed in growing herbs and banana trees. The banana tree is so sturdy, just give them plenty of water and plant food which in my case comes from my own compost bin and my Bokashi system. ( If you do not know what this is, it can be my future blog.) Taking care of any plants, you have to pay attention to them: talk, touch them. Yes, you read it correctly. A plant is a living thing, but I do not want to discuss it way too deep. In this video, I am showing how to maintain the banana tree and its flower. It might not be exciting for people who live in tropical areas, but for the ones who live in the USA and the cold countries. This will educate you a little. As I said, the zap of the trees creates a permanent stain, so wear black clothing or the same gardening outfit when glooming the banana tree.
