
I've been trying to figure out what's causing this issue for months, and in this video I think I may have found the culprit - hugely un-optimised apps relying on Rosetta 2 are causing lots of data to be written to the SSD and not RAM. It also seems like the latest software version of macOS contains a few subtle changes that help with this greatly.
