Do you think a lot of new age "hits", the music of the tens, will remain in history as if they were the greatest creations? Personally in my opinion, they will, indeed there is no avoiding it, but they can never eclipse the greatness of a song called "Nothing Else Matters". This masterpiece is great, and everything else really doesn't matter.
Metallica is an American cult metal band that was formed as early as 1981. The famous song we are going to talk about was recorded nine years later, in 1990, together with the album of the same name, bringing Metallica a stunning commercial success.

This is the translation of the famous phrase "Nothing else matters". Listening to metallic Metallica everything else really loses its meaning. You put on your headphones and you are transported to your youth, or at least you imagine yourself a little bit different person. Your heart starts beating more often, and your ears conduct the very music, making your brain feel incredible pleasure from what you hear. So how did they come up with this creation?
I'm sure most rock fans have heard the story (or maybe not) about how Metallica's lead singer and rhythm guitarist, James Hetfield wrote the first two bars of the tune while on the phone with his then-girlfriend. He plucked four open strings with one hand while holding the phone with the other. Thus, the all-too-famous open E minor chord was the beginning of a momentous creation in music history.
The lyrics to the song, Hatfield wrote exclusively for himself. The lyrics were so personal that he was reluctant to share them even for his band, let alone officially release them to the public.
After the band's drummer Lars Ulrich saw and heard them, he was thrilled and tried his best to convince James to step forward. And you know, he didn't fail. Thanks to him for that.
Initially James said that he wrote the lyrics while touring, about a girl and a house he misses very much, but in the future the guys announced that this song is dedicated to the fans, because they are very important to them and there is nothing more valuable for each of the members and the band as a whole.
After the release of "Nothing Else Matters" as a single, this song immediately skyrocketed to dozens of charts around the world. This is really not bad, relative to the expectations of Jacem Hatfield, who predicted failure.
I think this is one of those songs that will be on the playlist of all kinds of people, regardless of age or gender. Personally, I really love this hit and it will be with me forever.
