mgk did a surprise pop-up show at Electric Fetus in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 14, 2025. This pop-up show was part of mgk's "lost xx road trip." He did a small tour called "lost xx road trip" in celebration of his new album "lost americana." The pop-up show was free. During the show, mgk talked about the importance of keeping independent businesses alive. mgk said, "I really really want to thank Electric Fetus for having us and and hosting an intimate event. I think it's really really important to keep these record stores alive and independent businesses in general alive. That's why on this album week, when a lot of eyes were on us, we chose to come and be face to face with the people in the places of the people. We didn't want to play the arenas and all that stuff. We had plenty of plenty of time for that this week. We wanted to keep the focus on the ones who matter most, the backbone of our country."
