Here is a video of the BNSF O-SBDSBD Track Geometry train which ran from San Bernardino to San Dimas over the Metrolink San Gabriel and Pasadena Subdivisions. Originally supposed to go all the way to Irwindale, the Geo car crew requested the trip be cut short at San Dimas, resulting in the train having to shove back to Pomona to run the power around for the trip back to San Bernardino. We catch the train several times starting in Claremont, visiting several locations along the former Santa Fe Second District. With the Metro Blue Line Pomona extension being almost complete, the line has been modernized to have concrete ties, LED signals, and quiet-zone-ready crossings, stripping the line of its former Santa Fe character. This line is only utilized by the twice-weekly Pasadena Local. It is unknown when the last Geometry train ran on the Pasadena Subdivision, making this a rare sight, especially with the use of six-axle power in the form of a pair of GEVOs. Thanks for watching!
