Vestalia was a Roman religious festival in honor of Vesta, the goddess of the hearth and the burning continuation of the sacred fire of Rome.
The archaic Vestalia probably lasted only one day, the 9th of the month, but in the Republican and Imperial ages they were extended to nine, from the 7th to the 15th of June.
