North of Chicago along Lake Michigan lies a well known "Highway to Nowhere" The Amstutz Expressway is a stretch of highway 2.9 miles long that was intended to be part of a much larger highway network. Most of that network was not built and today the pat that was has very little traffic. One of the bright sides of having little traffic is that it's been used in many movies including Groundhog Day and Blues Brothers.
