Four guitars, 30 riffs, 120 sounds to compare!

I shot out my 2014 Fender Telecaster (single coils), my 2020 Epiphone SG Classic Worn in Inverness Green (P90s), the exquisite - and sadly not mine! - Tonfuchs Dyna (mini humbuckers) and my 2014 Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro!

This video came about when I realized I had four guitars at home, all with two pickups of different types, so I decided I’d play a bunch of riffs through all of them so we can see how they sound compared to one another.

Here’s all the riffs and the different video parts:

31:23 My initial conclusion - right after playing all the riffs!
34:02 Final conclusion - after editing it all together
40:00 And... if I could only have one, which guitar would I pick?

Phew!

Here’s some links to the guitars for you. They don’t make my exact Tele and Les Paul models any more, so I’ve linked to the most common current models:

-----
Fender Telecaster:
Epiphone 2020 SG Classic Worn in Inverness Green:
Tonfuchs Dyna:
Epiphone Les Paul:
-----

The guitars all ran through a Greer Lightspeed overdrive pedal and my Hughes & Kettner Black Spirit 200 head. That went from the Red Box DI straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, which went into Logic Pro X. That's it. No post-processing on the sounds was done.

Here’s some affiliate links to those bits of gear:

H&K Black Spirit 200 head:
Greer Lightspeed:
Focusrite 4i4 (this is the newer equivalent of my 2i4, which they don’t make any more!):

Enjoy!
