I’ve resurrected my “Guitar Friends” YouTube series with this Guitar Visitor post! I’ve started reaching out to some of my favorite builders and dealers to say “Hey…want to send me that thing to make some video and audio clips?”

The first builder to respond is the brilliant Matt Proctor of M-Tone guitars in Portland, OR. Matt is a sculptor by training and that sensibility is evident in his strikingly shapely bespoke creations. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting his shop, and he and his wife Axie are lovely, kind, and hospitable people.

This new model, the Hypersonic, is like a plush velvet glove concealing a fist made of iron. It's stout!

For this video I am plugged directly into my Benson Tall Bird, Monarch, and 1x12 cab.
