Here's a look at what's inside your car's headlights and how it works!
The purpose of headlights is to control light output to properly illuminate the road, to be visible to other drivers and indicate the direction the vehicle is turning. Headlight types include sealed beam, reflector, projector, LED matrix and laser housings.
In this video, a reflector style housing with both halogen and HID bulbs are taken apart and explored. The beam pattern's importance is also discussed, in addition to regulations, bulb light source types and adjustment mechanisms within the headlight.
Keep your vehicle well maintained!
