
YBCA is proud to present The 2017 Poetic Address to the Nation. Produced in collaboration with U.S. Department of Arts and Culture, a grassroots action network inciting creativity and social imagination to shape a culture of empathy, equity, and belonging, The 2017 Poetic Address to the Nation will be emceed by one of our country’s most provocative, original voices, Chinaka Hodge. Inspired by stories collected around the nation, a tremendous selection of poets from the Bay area and beyond, we will address the Trump administration and our nation in the words of, and inspired by, our people.
