There is a village on the map of Bashkiria with a fascinating name — Bashkortostan. The same as the entire republic. But it's not a large city and not even a big village. It's a tiny corner, where only 8 houses and 17 people remain.
Once, it was loud and lively here — about forty houses, children's laughter, street-wide celebrations. Today, everything is different. The youth left, the elderly passed away... but the village is still alive.
Because in Bashkortostan, those who keep its soul remain.
They live as one family: together they gather firewood, pick mushrooms, dig potatoes, sing old songs, and believe in the return of life.
In this film, it’s not just the story of a disappearing village, but a tale of friendship’s strength, of roots, of people who don’t lose hope, even when everything around them seems to be fading.
📍 Watch the new story. And perhaps, you will feel it too: homeland is not a point on the map. It’s a state of soul.
