You see Philippines has a strategic location near the South China sea, which makes it super important for the US and other major players, but it often gets shadowed because of China, Japan and the US itself. Then Philippines' history is only limited to the Spanish colonization, but little do you know that Philippines was trading with China and Middle East before the Spanish even arrived. Talking about economy, Philippines GDP is a massive $400+Billion, which is a lot higher than most European countries. Plus Philippines has a lot of good food, good singers and a thriving tourism potential.
