Rare Kinks Concert Poster from 1974 UC Santa Barbara.
50 Years ago (1974) last Sunday The Kinks played in Santa Barbara at the Robertson Gym on the University of California, Santa Barbara campus. This is my copy of the concert poster for that show. Another great concert poster with photo of the band. They were supporting the release of ‘Preservation Act 2’, their rock opera. They were a bit too theatrical at this point for me, I prefer the stripped down Kinks from years earlier. I couldn’t find a decent tv clip of them from 1974 so I used one from 1973.
