Frippertronics style looping - just ‘rediscovered’ the decay knob on the Ditto X4 and it reminded why it’s so great for sound on sound/frippertronic style looping - being able to endlessly layer loops on top of one another whilst the earlier layers fade away is such a wonderful technique for ambient music allowing compositions to be improvised and to gently morph and evolve over time. It’s back to being my fav looper (I love the RC505, but can’t seem to find away to do this on it). Here I am experimenting with the @sonicware_inc Ambient 0 and the Poly D (plus Microkorg 2 off camera), and a tapeloop. The other great thing about the Ditto x4 is it has 2 tracks so you can keep/retain one layer (in this case the noise) as a bed and have the 2nd loop doing the SOS parts.
