This album is even rarer and much more valuable than the Led Zeppelin Turquoise cover, yet the LZ album gets all the attention.

Released 55 years ago today, this Ummagumma LP by Pink Floyd is an ultra-rare Japanese White Label Promo on Red Vinyl, the most valuable in my collection.

Ummagumma is unique as a double album: the first disc captures live recordings from 1969, some of the band’s best live performances, while the second disc gives each member a side for solo compositions. Tracks like The Narrow Way and Sysyphus were performed live throughout 1969.

Though critics and even the band have mixed feelings about it today, the live portion alone makes it unforgettable for me.
