The room makeover reveal we’ve all been waiting for! And the emotional surprise reveal that makes it all worth it! This giant, open concept, living room/dining room/playroom/entry way needed so much design and we worked HARD to get it done. The whole floorplan and layout needed to be re-thought so it could be more functional for this family of three. The design style needed to be a compromise of what the husband (Kyle) likes, Wabi Sabi and wood slat walls and the wife (Cina) loves which is TikTok trendy curves in a post modern style with creamy white tone on tone and pastel cutesy accents! These walls are double the size of normal walls so we did 10+ DIYs to implement design and function. A wood tambour aka pole wrap wall, a curvy cloud shaped DIY coffee table made out of buckets, arched curtain cornice boxes, wood slat wall with cube shelves, DIY artwork for a gallery wall, Facebook Marketplace finds, upcycled thrift store mirror, salvage yard finds, a huge bouquet of faux cherry blossoms and found sticks AND peel and stick wallpaper all over in our brand new watercolor checkerboard pattern!!! We are so happy with how it turned out but most importantly these new parents are SO thrilled with their new family living space.
