Benefits of Mulch Around Trees
*Protects the tree's root zone
*Helps insulate during weather changes
*Helps retain moisture in the soil
*Allows for micronutrients to work into the soil without competing against the turf

Because of those nutrients, the microbiome in the soil is much more active. They are breaking up the soil which helps for good aeration.
