The buccaneers fought most of their battles on land. But it's hard to bring a horse aboard a ship, so permanent cavalry units were not a thing among their ranks. There is one instance where a buccaneer commander organized a temporary cavalry unit. His name was Michel Grammont, fittingly nicknamed "Chevalier".
