There’s a certain innocence in prayers that affirm what we desire, isn’t there? After all, doesn’t the Bible tell us to ask God for anything and believe that we will receive it? Doesn’t this suggest that affirmative prayers like "I am blessed, whole, healthy, and happy" are not only acceptable but even biblical? Well I’m here to put a big ol hair in that theological salad.
