Jam twenty five of Jamuary - a jam a day throughout January.Again, a jam in the IDM/Electronica genre, with Aphex Twin being the obvious inspiration this time (which is no bad thing in book). This was one of my favourite jams of Jamuary, so far.
Put together using the Elektron Digitakt, Novation Mono Station, Make Noise 0-Coast and Boss RV-500. I love this setup for it's simplicity and wide array of sounds – these are the two best sequencers I have used.
The Digitakt is perfect for this type of crazy drums. It's where it shines most.
The pairing of the Mono and 0-Coast is amazing. On it's own the Mono can sound big, but together with the 0-Coast they sound metallic, almost like a steel drum.
