The next Sonic movie is bringing big changes, with Amy Rose joining Sonic and Metal Overlord as the villain. But will this be a happy ending? Probably not. Fans are speculating that Amy might sacrifice herself to save Sonic, knowing that without him, the world would fall apart. Sonic 3 teased this when Amy saved Sonic from an army of Metal Sonics—so how did she know? Turns out, in a future ruled by Metal Overlord, Amy leads the resistance and time-travels back to change history. The story is heavily inspired by Sonic CD, featuring the Time Stones and time travel chaos. Metal Sonic might be acting on his own, possibly even trying to resurrect Dr. Robotnik. With Jim Carrey likely out, the franchise might phase out human characters entirely, shifting focus to Sonic’s world.
