I wrote this song this week, noodling around on my new guitar, a Kremona 90th Anniversary.

I had a difficult week - it always seems to be a difficult week with lots do do and not enough time to do it - so I was thinking about clouds, and how the weather is always nice above them.

The problem is that we live beneath the clouds, where it is often dark, wet, cold, while above them it’s always a sunny day.

We often wait for the Father who is “our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬), but it seems as if sometimes we have to make an effort ourselves and move towards Him, beyond the clouds, and rise up to a sunny day where His love and faithfulness await us: “Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.” Psalms‬ ‭36‬:‭5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I hope you find hope in these Scripture words and in my song, whatever you’re going through.

I recorded this with a very cheap USB microphone. I struggled with some overdrive that was coming from I don’t know where. I won’t share a link for this mic because I don’t want you to buy it :-)
