There's a specific analogy that I've heard (mostly in Christian churches) that I'm honestly surprised I'm still hearing. It's one of the worst ways to describe Jesus' sacrifice and His relationship with the Father. What does "Son of God" mean? How should we understand the Trinity and the Atonement? These are very basic but *very* important doctrines for pastors to know. Bad theology should stop in the Church, not start there.
