Welcome to the 2nd member mix from Abe Twist out of Tilberg, Netherlands.

It's also our last member mix for 2024 and I would like to thank each and every one of you that has supported our community this year by listening to our member mixes, checking out this website, being part of our Facebook group.

Abe says 'Hi, I'm Abe Twist from Tilburg, the Netherlands. (Real name: Bas Witte).

I did a mix for the Forty Five Kings Collective back in late 2023 and it was much more of an eclectic 7" vinyl session.

This time I wanted to do a set that was heavy on the funk, because funk is what I started out with, as a dj.

I grabbed some of my favourite funk(ish) 7inches (and some I recently got) and just played them in an order that was determined as I was playing.

I'm not the most technical dj (I rarely beatmatch when it's organic/analog music, I'm not a scratch dj and I mostly mix on the one when I play funk/soul-tracks. I try to let the music speak for itself.)
