This is day 1 of me preparing and trying out the most famous street food items from every Indian state and in this video I’ll be trying out the street food of India’s crown state, Jammu & Kashmir. There is a famous saying that if there is heaven on earth then it is Kashmir. While Jammu & Kashmir is extremely well known for its scenic beauty, many people do not recognise the superiority of the Kashmiri cuisine. Several food items that can be found at the corner of every street in this state include but are not limited to Nadir Monje, Dum Aloo and Seekh Tujj. So I decided to prepare Nadri Monje which is basically French fries made by using nadru/lotus stem instead of potato. Surprisingly, this food item was very easy to prepare and turned out to be extremely tasty and flavourful. I had a great time preparing and trying out this food item.
