Nick has a genetic condition called Neurofibromatosis type 1, where tumors grow on the nerves and skin. There’s no cure, and it has affected his face, arms, and chest. He uses social media to share his experience, including humor and the challenges of daily life. In 2021, he underwent his third and biggest surgery, documenting his recovery from day one to a year later. Another creator, Amit, also lives with the condition, which caused him to lose his eye at age 11.
He now wears a silicone prosthetic fitted with magnets and is vocal about the discrimination he faces due to his facial difference. Actor Adam Pearson, who also has Neurofibromatosis, is known for his roles in “A Different Man” and “Under the Skin,” and advocates for better representation of disabled people in film.
