Unkiss is a letter from the sand dunes. I’m writing to the one I love to tell them prophesies I’ve seen projected onto the rippled waves of my local mirage. They tell me our love is inevitable. This has also been confirmed by the squaks of scavenger birds above. They last feasted when I spoke to him years ago. And they’ve returned for a final nibble.I had come across the phenomenon of singing sand dunes about this time: singing sand makes a beautiful rumbley whistling noise as wind passes through and vibrates all of the grains of sand.
I sampled a lot of naturally occurring sounds in this song in an attempt to ground myself and this message while straying away from my need to overproduce and overcomplicate. I was not, as you might imagine, in a field grounding my earth body to the magnetic core barefoot. But I did find some amazing sounds on youtube.com. I found that more beneficial for my magnetic field.
