The Frugal Sound were one of many UK groups who released their own cover version singles of Beatles album tracks. Their folk pop take on the Rubber Soul LP cut has a lovely Fall feel and is featured on Sanctuary’s Ripples: presents The Autumn Almanac. Fun fact: their third single “Back Street Girl” was arranged by none other than a (pre-Led Zeppelin) John Paul Jones!
