In December 1971, Frank Zappa experienced one of the most disastrous weeks in rock history. Just days apart, two catastrophic events struck — first in Switzerland, then in London — changing the course of Zappa's career and leaving his band, The Mothers of Invention, reeling.

In this documentary we also explore the story of how three members of The Turtles became key figures in Zappa’s band, bringing their pop sensibility and theatrical flair to his avant-garde world. All originating in 1060's Laurel Canyon scene.
