Billy Squire attended the Berkley School of Music in the early 70's. He took piano lessons in his younger days. After time he switched from playing piano and bought a guitar.

He formed The Reltneys and Magic Terry & the Universe previous to his rise in popularity in the 80's. Afterwards he played in a band named Kicks. One of the members already in the band was New York Dolls drummer.

The bands most popular and best selling songs are My Kinda Lover, The Stroke, Lonely is the Night, Everybody Wants You.

I was in my 20's throughout the 1980's. Even though he has good music a lot of his instant 80's fame came from all the play he got on MTV. I witnessed it firsthand. His videos were on constant rotation for quite some time.
