This is the perfect documentary compilation to understand how the continent-to-continent collision that occurred between Tasmania and Victoria 430 million years ago, the formation of Port Phillip Bay and the greater Melbourne region, the Volcanics of the You Yangs, and the creation of the Gippsland basin, the Tasman Sea, and, new zealand, yes, new zealand, all link together in one intricate dance of geological insanity.
I was meant to release a new video on the Africa Mega Tsunami hypothesis today, but unfortunately, we had a hiccup that’ll see it being released tomorrow instead. And by hiccup, I mean I need an extra day to compile the infographics because I’m a bit drained from spending most of the night nerding out on some geophysical scans of ancient volcanic arcs across South and Western Australia.
With all of that being said, I’ve got an excellent episode planned to kick off the series tomorrow, and it is one of many that will focus on the scientific investigation in the proposed hypothesis.
