One of the most famous monuments in the US is the Lincoln Memorial. The memorial was designed by architect Henry Bacon, and sculptor Daniel Chester French designed the 19-foot statue of Lincoln sitting on a chair. It's one of the most recognizable parts of the monument. Jules Guerin and Ernest C. Bairstow contributed to the decoration and detailing of the interior and exterior of the building.
