Amos lived in the 8th century BC, a time of important changes in many parts of the world.
God’s people—the Israelites—who were supposed to be a royal priesthood and a holy nation, were behaving like Pagans, living in idolatry and immorality.
In the midst of all that, the word of the LORD came to Amos, an ordinary young adult who held two jobs, and God raised him up as a prophet calling a lost and backslidden Israel back to God.
From Amos’ story, Pastor Kong Hee shares how we should never despise the days of small beginnings and how our prayers can affect God.
