Stradovari Superfly at Maybach:
I’ve played a bunch of Maybach guitars over the years, but never had the chance to spend a lot of time with one – until now!
The Stradovari Superfly HSS is a new model for Maybach, and it's kind of like a typical Maybach Stradivari on steroids thanks to its HSS pickup configuration - and these are Monty's pickups, no less - and its Gotoh whammy and locking tuners. In short, this is a Strat-type that's built to rock!
Coming in at around €2,395, you'd expect the Stradovari Superfly to be built to the highest standards, and it is: alongside the Monty's pickups and the Gotoh hardware, you get a tastefully aged alder body and a maple neck - all nitro finished, of course - with an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The neck has that typical 648 mm scale length, with 21 medium jumbo frets, a bone nut and a 9.5" fingerboard radius accompanying a lovely C-shaped profile.
So, with all these top quality specs, this is a guitar that should be able to challenge any Fender Strat, right? That's what we're about to find out! In the video, I test the guitar out in as many different musical styles as I can, from country, folk and indie, to pop, rock, blues, punk, metal and more. Let me know what you think in the comments!

30:48 My conclusions on the Stradovari Superfly HSS and why you should buy it
My setup was as follows: I ran the guitar into my Hughes & Kettner Black Spirit 200 head, also using my Revv G3 pedal for heavy distortion sounds. The amp went from the Red Box DI straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, which went into Logic Pro X. That's it. No post-processing on the sounds was done.
