Title: Heart SproutGouache on 8 x 10 Yellow Pastel Paper
This little gouache painting was done over a few days time. I create paint swirls/splatters before hand on acetate and where the paint bleeds into each other the details get smaller and smaller making intricate patterns and scenery. This is where my imagery comes from. Like a Rorschach test which lets you pick and choose what you’d like the raw organic shapes to materialize as. Everyone sees something different, including myself and the imagery changes over time for me as well. What I see at the beginning of painting becomes something else later. Which is why my titles are always updating with my interpretation of them. It makes for an interesting experience as an artist to have a painting that is constantly shifting in your mind.
