Lisbon, Portugal based Rene Wise, whose roots lie in the south coastal English city of Brighton, is the latest artist brought into focus for our Electronic Beats TV Tech Talk series.The DJ and producer began releasing music in 2017 and since then has released his Techno material via the likes of Luke Slater’s Mote Evolver, James Ruskin’s Blueprint, Georgian club Bassiani’s in house label, SK_Eleven and a collaboration with Rødhad on WSNWG among other releases.
In this video we gather insight into some of the pieces of hardware and software he’s utilizing in his productions, from synths and sequencers to working with FL Studio. He also touches on his love of imperfections through experimentation and its resultant outcome of something dynamic, alive and often unexpected.
