And the full lowdown at the Nobels site:
We all know Nobels for the mighty ODR-1 overdrive pedal, but the cult German brand goes way beyond that. Back in the day they put out numerous delay and modulation pedals, and now we’re seeing an awesome new range of Nobels mini pedals forming in 2025.
After the incredible ODR-mini (and ODR-mini 2) pedals came the $99/€99 DEL-mini, a fantastic mini, 3-mode stereo delay. And now we have the CHO-mini too!
This mini chorus pedal boasts incredible features and specs considering its price and size. You get three Chorus modes here, for starters. Chorus 1 and 2 are both based on vintage analog chorus pedals of yore – think the Boss CE-1, CE-2, maybe an EHX Small Clone and others and you’re in the right ballpark – while the Flanging mode gives you, well, a chorus and a flanger mixed together!
You control the tones via Rate, Width and Mix controls (the Mix goes from full Dry to full Wet, allowing you to use the pedal as a vibrato rather than a chorus too). The On/Off footswitch also doubles as a Tap Tempo switch, which you can use to set your Rate – and it also gives you much faster or slower speed settings than the Rate knob.
The CHO-mini also features stereo In and Out jacks – and I’m running it in stereo today, so get your headphones on for this video! – and mini switches on the top to move between Stereo and Mono mode, and True Bypass or Buffered Bypass mode.
All in all, for $99/€99 this looks like an awful lot of chorus pedal! But how good is it really? Will it nail classic chorus tones, as heard on the likes of Nirvana’s Come As You Are, and Guns N’ Roses’ Paradise City, as well as more modern sounds as utilized by the likes of Sam Fender and Tame Impala?
Will it give us subtle chorus tones to thicken up our guitar sound, as well as more intense, warbly and throbbing tones, almost like a rotary speaker? We’re about to find out! In the video, I put the CHO-mini through its paces in as many different musical styles and settings as I can to see just how good and versatile it really is.
I’ll also run a loop where we really get to twist the knobs and test out the extremes to which you can get the pedal to go, and I’ll do a comparison stereo/mono loop where you really get to hear the difference between a chorus pedal in stereo and mono.
Let me know your thoughts on the CHO-mini in the comments!

My setup was as follows: I ran my ToneX One pedal into the CHO-mini. That went in stereo directly into two channels simultaneously on my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, which in turn went into Logic Pro X. That’s it. I then added the Nobels ODR-mini 2 overdrive, the Nobels DEL-mini delay and the TC Electronic Hall Of Fame reverb for the drive and ambient sections too. No post-processing on the sounds was done. Oh, and I used my Boss RC-10R to record and play the loops. Here’s some links to those bits of gear:
