Virtual Bird is a musical project created by Jane Reynolds,
in which she attempts to convey her reality as a trans person with schizophrenia.
Sometimes punk and angst ridden, sometimes spiritual and rhythmic.
Jane is an artist through and through, creating as often as possible and releasing her art into the world with a sense of urgency that comes with the knowledge that tomorrow is never promised.
She has live backup with the help of Nine providing backup vocals, Adam on bass, and Seaweed on drums.
If you want to put it in a genre-box™ this is what Jane has to say:
Jane: I guess I’d call it “Gothic Folk-Punk”. I treat my fans like they're my friends, but only if they're decent human beings. I see no reason why you should be looking up to me. Never liked praise. I'd rather have a friendly conversation about music and art of all types.
Because whats the point of community if we don't understand our common ground, right?

Cuz most of the music sucks
Because im translating my thoughts into songs
And If Im worth a fuck
I gotta stop beating myself up when im wrong

So I treat my fans like they’re my friends, but only if they try to understand me. I don’t want power over anyone
I dont even have the power to fall back asleep
I’m so used to dead ends overcoming challenges still
irrelevant but I’ll still try to stick with it
