In honor of our new album "Play That Rock 'n' Roll" (1/14/22) I created this unplugged acoustic song series showcasing alternate versions of songs from the new album. These stripped-down acoustic video performances are meant to showcase the song first (lyrics, emotion etc). As an artist, I feel that a the meaning of a song can sometimes get lost in a huge production; on the flipside, a poor song can be dressed up with fancy production too. When I was 18, my father gifted me this acoustic twelve-string guitar that he purchased from the pawn shop. I didn't really understand it because, at the time, I was only interested in playing loud electric guitar solos in bars and clubs. So I put it aside and kinda forgot about it. A few years later, after some personal growth and development I found myself reaching for this guitar to accompany me on a special performance. The instrument was right where I left it, in my dad's basement, waiting for me when I needed it. The guitar was there for me all along, like my dad always has been too. This song is dedicated to my dad--thank you for all that you do.
