Following the Capitol Riot and his attempt to steal the 2020 election, Donald Trump’s approval rating hit a low of 38.8% at the end of his term. With Biden leaving office Monday, his approval rating is somehow BELOW Trump’s 2021 approval rating. Biden may not have been the most transformative or inspiring president in history, but to be less popular than Trump seems to defy reality. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

President Biden is leaving office with a lower approval rating than Donald Trump had following the Capitol Riot in January of 2021. Now, I wanted to begin this story a little differently, right? I kinda wanted to build up to that, but I think it's important to just reiterate that very sad fact that President Biden has an approval rating today lower than Donald Trump had after the Capitol Riot, following the Capitol Riot. When Donald Trump left office the day he left office, he had an approval rating of 38.4%. Right now, right this very moment, president Biden has an approval rating of 37.1%. So 1.3% of the population that approved of Trump after the Capitol Riot does not approve of President Biden. So President Biden is now less popular than Donald Trump was immediately in the days following the Capitol Riot. That is insane to me. Look, here's the thing. I am not one of those people that think that President Biden was the most progressive president we've had since FDR.
I think that is a very stupid statement, and I think that reality does not back it up at all. Was he a decent president? Absolutely. Did he go far enough on the things he needed? No, he did not. Absolutely not. Did we get a good infrastructure bill? Hell yeah, we did. Was it enough? Nope. Did we get student loan debt relief? Hell yeah, we did. Did we get enough student loan debt relief? No, we didn't. Did we get environmental regulate? You see where I'm going with this? Like we got a little bit of the things we needed, you know, enough to move us forward, but not enough to really make the kind of impact and be the progressive that some of these Democrats out there say he was. He is not the most transformation, uh, transformative, excuse me, president since FDR. That's just a dumb thing to say, and I disagree with the Democrats who say that, but to be 37.1% approval rating, I, I disagree with that as well. Like, was he the bestest, best president we ever had? Absolutely. Not. Not even close. Was he the worst we've ever had? Again, not even close. So what is driving this like that is what kind of gets me about this whole, you know, thing is why, that's what I want to know. And that is unfortunately an area where a lot of polls kind of drop the ball. Like, what do you think? Do you like
This, this guy, or do you not like this guy? I don't like that guy. Okay, great. Thank you very much. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I need answers as to why Trump was more popular after the Capitol riot than Joe Biden is today. And you can't say it's well, it's because of his mental state. Okay? Yeah. But that shouldn't make people not like him, right? Like if your grandmother, which, you know, mine has developed dementia, does that mean I don't like my grandma now? No, I still love her. I love her more than ever. You know what I mean? So none of it makes any sense. That's what drives me crazy. My brain, you know, is, is, is, is got a foundation of logic. Everything I see, everything I hear, I have to interpret it as why is that happening?
I always have to know the why so that I can understand things. I just, I have a compulsion almost to understand why a thing happens the way it does. It drives my wife insane sometimes. And that's what's driving me crazy about this poll is I don't have the why and for the life of me, I can't figure it out. If President Biden was at
