Tip 1️⃣ Start practicing with just your pick and your middle finger! The middle finger should hook onto the string below the one being plucked.

It should do so at the EXACT moment the pick strikes the string, and then pluck the next note immediately after.

Tip 2️⃣ When you are comfortable, apply the same concept using ONLY your ring finger on the string below the one where you previously used your middle finger.

In this case, you'll be working with string skipping.

Tip 3️⃣ Now use both your middle and ring fingers. When you pick a note, simultaneously hook your middle finger onto the string below and your ring finger onto the string below that.

After picking, release one finger at a time to play the next two strings.
