ℹ︎ Flipping the beat is typically associated with a drummer who confuses the upbeat or backbeat with the downbeat. However, when used stylistically, BEAT FLIPS can achieve a wobbly sense of pulse.

Flipping the beat can arguably go unnoticed during a solo performance and even has an inherent ease of recovery. However, this ease quickly diminishes as the number of performers increases.
