“Bob Balch here. Surf western was a riff that Gary Arce started playing while we were in the studio. I figured out a harmony for it and then Gary Arce, Tony Reed, Billy Stinson and myself started jamming on it for about 20 minutes. We did some editing on it, to give it a middle section that breaks down to just Tony Reed and my guitar. It then ends heavy with some synth and fuzz. I feel like there are a lot of different styles in this song, so it’s a good representation of what the record sounds like since we’re pulling from multiple influences throughout.”
