Cava Grande (Turkey)Known as one half of the internationally successful indie-electronica duo Portecho, Tan Tuncag embarks on a solo project under the moniker "Cava Grande". Founded in 2017 in Istanbul, Turkey, this brand new project embraces a Melancholic Electro / Indie Dance with the touch of warm analog synthesis and bouncy dark beats.
Cava Grande's debut album "Worm Universe" was released on 11th May 2018 by Santima Records. The two tracks from this album; "Sentinel" and "A Fine Mess" were released in the form of a video game, developed by Tan who is also a professional video game designer. The double track single "Ghost / Vessels" which was released in March 2019.
During the 2018-2019 season, Cava Grande played at some remarkable festivals such as Mix Festival, Sonar Istanbul, Istanbul Jazz Festival, Music Showcase of Greece festival in Thessaloníki along with playing as the opening act for the Austrian electronica giants HVOB, on their "Rocco" album release concert in Istanbul.
Cava Grande’s second album "Hollow Shell" has been released on 29th January 2021. The three singles from this album "A Room Above The Earth", "The Pond" and "Unveiled" had been launched in 2020.
