The tall elegant Barbara Randolph was a huge favourite among Motown fans for her 1966 classic I GOT A FEELING. She was married to Eddie Singleton, the former Motown executive and founder of Shrine records, after he first divorced Raynoma Gordy, former wife of Motown owner Berry Gordy. They astoundingly all lived together in one mansion in Beverly Hills, just as one big happy family. Barbara and Eddie were so in love, which shone out everywhere they went. Barbara developed terminal cancer and left Eddie out of the blue, without even telling him, because she could not bear the thought of him seeing her die. It broke his heart. He moved to South Africa, and literally died of a broken heart. It's all so very tragic. The late genius, Sylvia Moy, wrote the lyrics for Barbara for a truly remarkable song.
