Cats Eyes was on British television from 1985 to 1987..Fans of the show will know alot of the filming locations were in and around Maidstone and Medway, aswell as other locations in the South East...I cant say i used to watch it all that much (and i was only a kid at the time) but im very familiar with it...But now im older i love the nostalgia of looking back at places i know, or familiar with that were caught on film.
Originally my only main reason why when it came to this series tho, was that i was just trying to find one particular car chase scene filmed in Offham in Kent (which il talk about at the end of the video) but because i had to go through loads of episodes to try and find it, in the process i then ended up seeing lots of other places i recognized aswell, so thought id put together a video of the clips.
There very well may of been other locations aswell that i knew of staring at me in the face while going through the episodes but just didnt recognize them. (There is also a slight chance some of my locations in this video arnt 100% accurate by the way, but im confident the majority are.)
As i said in the beginning i originally was just searching for one particular car chase scene filmed on Offham Road near West Malling, and it then continued on Church Road Offham in Kent. It was the blue Ford Escort chasing a lorry and concluded with the lorry getting stuck under the stone railway bridge on Church Road and exploding. (If i remember correctly when setting up the scene the film crew mocked up a bar under the bridge to make it seem like the lorry couldnt pass under it)
I must of only been about 10 years old at the time and Offham is just a mile or two from where i live and my cousins lived on Church Road in Offham in the row of houses right near the railway bridge and we watched it being filmed.
I did get a glimpse of another scene being filmed aswell which is from the same episode, which was filmed on West Malling airfield. (which has now been destroyed and become Kings Hill :( I had some other cousins that lived on Kent Street in Mereworth and Kent Street is a no-through road but on foot at the end of the road after going through a fence and a field etc, you was then on the grounds of the airfield. It was a scene with Don Warrington, he pulled up in his gold jaguar, (near the shield walls as seen in the pic in the background) where another car and people was there waiting, he got out of the car, then it was just a talking scene standing by the cars. We wasnt right up close to them watching, we was a few hundred yards away sneakily watching without them knowing.
There was 30 Cats Eyes episodes made, the majority of which i managed to search out online and find, but can you believe it that the scene i was trying to find must be in one of the few episodes that arnt online.. So if anyone has the remaining episodes or that episode in particular it would be great if you could upload it to YouTube and let me know.
Some of the missing episodes have appeared online since, so this list is gradually getting smaller and smaller, altho it's still never the episode i want. haha

Because im thinking the blue Ford Escort in the scene im after is the Cabriolet, then it might be an episode from Series One, because iv noticed they only used that car in Series One. (Blue and White Escort RS Turbo's were then used for Series 2 and 3.)
Back when i made this video, i used and put YouTube's annotations on the screen or written information at the beginning of it, well iv noticed now that when viewed on mobile device for example, that the annotations arnt there and so it just results in a black/blank screen for the first minute or so. It's not supposed to be blank.
