City of Hollywood’s African American Advisory Council Celebrated Black History on February 23, 2023.The event showcased the rich, diverse culture and heritage of African Americans and featured the screening of the award-winning film “Wade in the Water,” which is produced by filmmaker Cathleen Dean, performances by the Florida Memorial Chorale and Step Team, a history monologue and more.
