Khalid - The Making of New Normal | Vevo Footnotes

Khalid has announced his upcoming album 'Everything Is Changing,' and released its first video. "New Normal" is a look into the near future, where nature and architecture have merged. In our exclusive interview, the singer says he and director Andy Hines are exploring the notion of "coming to terms with a postmodern world where technology is integrated into our lives." Shot in LA's iconic Bradbury Building, it depicts a life where people create green spaces indoors, and there winds up being "more plant stores than corner stores," says Hines. Khalid reveals that the work behind "New Normal" was a deep process that took him back to the basics as a creator. "I really wanted to channel my true artistic capabilities and push myself as a writer." Keep an eye out for fan mail hanging from the singer's wall in the video. 'Everything is Changing' is due later this year.
